I’m David Gravel, a News Writer for SiGMA, based in Malta, but forever a proud Yorkshireman.
For over two decades, I captured the world through the lens as a professional photographer, travelling across Europe. Then life threw me a curveball, Brexit, followed by the pandemic, forcing a dramatic rewrite of my story. During those turbulent times, I channelled my energy into academia, earning a First-Class Honours degree and a Master’s in Creative Writing. Those chapters have opened the door to an exciting new phase of my life.
Writing is my passion. When I’m not crafting stories for work, I’m immersed in a novel or daydreaming about my next creative venture. My Piscean nature adds a touch of magic to my work, fuelling my creativity and helping me weave meaningful connections through words.
Currently, I’m immersed in my latest adventure—writing the first in a trilogy of cosy crime novels with a twist. Alongside my creative pursuits, I’m a passionate advocate for mental health, committed to promoting inclusivity, respect, and giving everyone a voice in all that I do.
Life’s taught me it’s never too late to reimagine your story. So here I am, doing exactly that. One page at a time.
