Travel Guidelines

  • A network of connections, consisting of metro train and highways, make the centre easily accessible from Rome´s 2 main airports (Leonardo Da Vinci and Ciampino) and from the city centre. 

 

  • From the Tuscolana, Tiburtina, and Ostiense stations connected to the A and B lines of the Metro, take the FL 1 train towards Fiumicino and get off at the stop dedicated to Fiera Roma. Fares are as little as 1.50 euro.

 

  • The Rome metro operates daily from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm, with the last train departing from each station at that time. On Fridays and Saturdays, the service is extended until 1:30 am.

 

  • Popular ride-hailing apps include UberBlack, FreeNow and ITaxi.

 

  • The urban trains in Rome, called Ferrovie Urbane, complement the three metro lines and are run by the same company. The Ferrovie Urbane is made up of three lines: Lido, Viterbo, and Giardinetti.

How long does it take to get a visa?

The time required by regulations for issuing visas varies according to the type of visa. Schengen visas (i.e. short-stay visas) take 15 days, which can be extended up to 45 days in the cases provided for by law (Article 23 of the Visa Code).
