In May 2025, the SiGMA Foundation will embark on two transformative expeditions across Spain and Morocco, uniting participants in a shared mission to support educational initiatives in Ethiopia. Both expeditions will help benefit significant projects through SiGMA’s ongoing projects in Ethiopia to foster community development and help individuals achieve financial independence.
Thirty dedicated individuals will embark on the historic Camino Inglés route in Spain. This pilgrimage is more than a physical challenge, it’s a commitment to raising funds and awareness for the SiGMA Foundation’s educational projects in Ethiopia. The group comprises both seasoned trekkers and newcomers, all united by the goal of promoting global access to education.
A second team will ascend Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak at 4,167 meters. This demanding expedition includes an inspiring duo, an 11-year-old participant and his mother, both of whom have been rigorously training and fundraising for months. Their journey symbolises resilience, youth empowerment, and a family’s dedication to social impact.
Funds raised from both expeditions will directly benefit the SiGMA Foundation’s ongoing projects in Ethiopia, including the recently inaugurated 3-in-1 school in Jimma Bonga, which provides education and nourishment to 1,000 children. Additionally, the Foundation is developing a Women Empowerment Project aimed at offering vocational training to 500 women annually, fostering financial independence and community development.
These expeditions exemplify the SiGMA Foundation’s commitment to active philanthropy, blending physical endeavours with meaningful causes. Participants not only challenge themselves but also contribute to lasting change in communities that need it most.
The SiGMA Foundation is leading the charge for gaming companies wishing to engage in fundraising events, charity work, education programs and skills training. Together we are able to help transform the lives of many for the better and create a long lasting legacy of positive change. Founded in 2019, the SiGMA Foundation is registered with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations in Malta, with a strong mission to make philanthropy more accessible, participatory and empowering for those looking to make a lasting impact.
